Yo, Nora, check this out Oh? I dont know... Is that a portable speaker? No.. this is like a wireless charger oh cool so you can like take it anywhere and charge your phone? Uh...No... But you still have to like plug it in to like.. the outlet Oh okay, but ... is it like as long you're within a distance before you can charge your phone? No no no... you still have to like.. put your phone on it before it can charge Okay... so like this? No no no, maybe not your phone it has to be like some Apple phones or Xiaomi phones... okay but this is a Xiaomi phone just.. just the Mi9 Okay... can it do anything else? I think it can charge your... Smart watch? But you still have to plug it into the outlet ...yeah?

So I mean Nora did have a point This is the Xiaomi Wireless Charger that came out with the recent Mi 9 release Apparently this can charge at 20 Watts but anything else that you charge besides the Xiaomi 9 will be charging at a 5 Watt rate So I feel like a lot of you may have like a kind of y'know misunderstanding about wireless charging right? you probably picture in your head you know you just put this down right? You leave your phone on it and it charges or you know you plug your earphones in and then you just listen to music while its charging But, the whole experience is just not that good For something to be wireless this thing right here.
You see this cord right here? This shouldn't exist and besides that the biggest problem with this charger is that you have to place your phone so precisely before you can begin charging see the whole point of having such a big surface is that I can just you know easily put my phone on it and don't have to worry about it charging but you see right now, even though the iPhone 10 is supposed to be supporting wireless charge its not charging I have to move it very carefully before the system can actually detect that it's charging, right?
See the whole point of having such a big surface right here is that I can put it like anywhere I can put it like this, or like that, or like this to lessen my burden right? If I have to adjust every time right in the middle Then... it's not a very good experience and it's not just the charging pad itself the wireless charging coil which is usually right here At least for the iPhone anyway it's right in the center which is good But, for something like the smart design phone They're not actually placing their wireless charging over here, they're actually right down here somewhere So see if I just put it y'know relatively in the middle It's not gonna detect it If I move it slightly up the system might detect it or it might not see?
it's not detecting still see if I push it down a little more Finally, it knows that I am charging So you see? I have to be so precise with my you know placement which is not a very good experience if I have to do this every single time This whole thing is supposed to lessen my burden of charging, right? And it's not like you'll be gaming while you're holding this thing along with your phone... This looks super awkward and you definitely won't be able to use this thing while you're talking on the phone I mean So if you're a diehard apple fan you've owned Apple products right?
Your Apple watch, your IPhone your everything? Then yeah maybe you'll have a better time with the air power but my guess is, it's gonna be you know at least 5x the price of this little guy right here and you still get the same problems with all the things that I mentioned before so the way I see it is wireless charging is... y'know.. something that you should really think about before you actually spend your money and buy it I'd say you wait until the technology is mature enough before you know... when they can let us you know walk around and charge freely while I'm on the phone and its charging right now like that's truly wireless right? But before that? I don't know if it's really worth your money to buy this right now What do you guys think about it?
